Freight Train Kills Pedestrian In Maryland

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a freight train Monday, July 10 in Maryland, officials said.

The northbound CSX train struck the person near East Deer Park and Railroad Street in Gaithersburg sometime before 10:45 a.m., a spokesperson for the police department said.

The MCPD and CSX police were handling the investigation.
